What is Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?

Non-Surgical rhinoplasty often referred to as a non-surgical nose job or ’15-minute nose job’, is a cosmetic surgery procedure for making small changes to the nose that are non-invasive using dermal fillers.

With a few injections, the shape and size of your nose can be improved. Non-surgical nose jobs can improve self-esteem and may aid in deciding to have surgical rhinoplasty over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Undergoing plastic surgery is a major decision and you must be aware of what the treatment entails. Below are some of the most frequently asked questions people ask before making a final decision.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is non-invasive and non-surgical meaning you can return to normal activities. Other benefits include

  • Temporary solution (a perfect solution to being unsure whether you are wanting a surgical nose job)
  • Minimal pain (treatment can be described as a ‘sharp pinch’)
  • Effective
  • Affordable

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is not a permanent solution however, it can last up to 12 months which is ideal for people who are not looking for surgical and permanent solutions. It is an affordable option compared to surgical rhinoplasty.

Following the procedure, you can expect to see results and changes immediately however, for full results it can take up to 2 weeks for the hyaluronic acid to work into the area.

If you have ever thought of getting a nose job but are wary of permanent change then non-surgical fillers are ideal for you. If you don’t feel your nose is straight or has bumps, hook shape, or any drooping then you would be a great candidate.

There are several methods to perform non-surgical nose jobs depending on patient requirements and what you are looking to achieve. The most common method includes injecting dermal fillers into specific areas to form the desired shape and smooth out the nose.

Unlike surgical rhinoplasty, you can resume normal activities and return to work as you won’t need to rest. It is best to follow aftercare protocols such as avoiding wearing glasses, excessive touch of the nose and strenuous activities.

The procedure is not painful and should feel like a pinch which may cause slight discomfort during injections.

The treatment can take between 15 minutes to 1 hour to perform meaning you will be able to resume normal day-to-day activities.

You may experience bruising and swelling up to 1-2 hours after the procedure. This is completely normal. Within a week or two all swelling, and bruising should have cleared, and you should be able to see the results of your non-surgical rhinoplasty. Cold compressions can help reduce swelling.

Exercise should be avoided for up to 48 hours after the procedure. During the first 48 hours, it is important to avoid wearing makeup, heat, sun exposure and massaging.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is safe as long as your procedure is performed under sterile conditions by a person training to the highest standard. Mr Wokes has been performing this procedure for over 7 years and has published in this field
